Job Description:

This role shall be responsible in managing all aspect of accounts payable and month-end accounts payable closing, bank reconciliation, cash forecast, general reconciliation and adjusting entries, intercompany reconciliation, monthly SG&A reporting (Actual vs Budget) and filing of all countries accounts payable related documents.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Finance mailbox and print out all invoices for verification
  • Perform AP invoice vouch into SAP for 4 countries, namely, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand
  • Perform AP outgoing payment in SAP for 4 countries
  • Prepare weekly AP payment proposal for Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand business entities to Senior Financial Accountant and review payments created by Senior Financial Accountant on UOB BIBPlus
  • Perform incoming payment in SAP for 4 countries
  • Interco billing for sundry expenses
  • Ensure all AP documents for 4 countries are properly filed
  • Record all bank charges in SAP for 4 countries
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliation in SAP for 4 countries
  • Assist in month end accounts payable closing including forex run and intercompany reconciliation
  • Posting of payroll journal for all 4 countries
  • Verify staff expense claim and upload journal entries from expense report generated from HRMS Claim Module
  • Manage HRMS Claims Module for Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand as an administrator; provide training and support to internal stakeholders on matters arising
  • Update daily cash position for all countries
  • Assist Senior Financial Accountant in OPEX cash forecast weekly & monthly
  • Prepare General Ledger Reconciliation for balance sheet items and post adjusting entries in SAP when necessary
  • Prepare monthly SG&A reports comparing actual against budget and highlight major variances
  • Liaise with external auditors for annual audit period
  • Assist to prepare GST returns for Singapore business entity
  • Assist Senior Financial Accountant in annual budget of OPEX for Nova Group
  • Liaise with Tax Agent, Company Secretarial, Insurance Agent
  • Assist in review of VAT returns and WHT for Thailand and Indonesia; Reconciliation of VAT, WHT and CIT computation submitted by tax agent in respective business entities
  • Manage Fixed Asset accounting in SAP and perform depreciation run in SAP for all 4 countries every month end
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assign by the Senior Financial Accountant
Relevant Experience & Qualifications
  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting or relevant
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment; with regional exposure in accounting is an added advantage
  • Experience with SAP ERP (preferred), or a similar ERP system
  • Advanced in MS Office and Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Formulas)
  • Strong communication and organization skills, able to work well independently
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Corporate Accounting/General Ledger experience
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • An independent problem solver, self-motivated with team spirit, high energy level with strong analytical thinking
