Accounting and Finance Operation

  • Assist in the reviewing and analysis of monthly management accounts, including schedules, prepared by hotel managers 
  • Assist in the monthly variance analysis of management accounts and liaise with hotel managers in understanding the variances
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of hotel operations’ accounting entries
  • Monitor hotels’ accounts team with accurate and timely month-end closing
  • Responsible in reviewing the monthly GST reconciliation between hotel accounting system and hotel property management system for the preparation of monthly/ quarterly GST/BAS filing
  • Review the monthly cash flow forecasts prepared by hotel managers and; monitor and improve hotels’ cash flows
  • Able to handle internal and external audit independently
  • Assist in processes and system implementation when required; continue to streamline and automate tasks to ensure improvement and efficiencies

Property Development

  • Prepare month end closing of accounts kept for Property Development Segments include preparation of general journal entries, account reconciliation, update of audit and tax schedules in accurate and timely manner
  • Review and obtain approval on suppliers’ invoices received, provide account coding and forecast payment date to AP team
  • Prepare & update of monthly project / construction progress management accounts
  • Update property sales / settlement reports
  • Prepare monthly cash flow projection
  • Assist in processes and system implementation when required, continue to streamline and automate tasks to ensure improvement and efficiencies
  • Able to handle internal and external audit independently

Requirement:

  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience handling GL Accounts/Management reporting duties
  • Experienced in deploying hotel systems, coupled with strong understanding of the interface between hotel property management system and hotel accounting system
  • Proactive, organised and independent individual with good analysis skills and meticulous in work
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Time sensitive with a sense of urgency
