The individual is responsible for maintaining accurate financial reporting figures and the consolidation of the group accounts within the Asia region. He/She is required to analyse and provide explanation to the financial reports as well as understand how operational data and information will impact the group’s financials. This position reports to the Group CFO and will play an important role in the Group’s corporate accounting function.
Perform Financial reporting and month-end closing
Ensure reporting of the consolidation of group’s results, including monthly elimination, adjusting entries etc
Work with foreign entities for timely financial reporting
Analyze consolidated data to ensure proper accounting procedures have been followed
Knowledge of local taxation and GST
Helps with different accounting fields when required, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, journal entry, etc.
Coordinate on Business partnering related tasks
Any other adhoc duties
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or ACCA graduate
Strong in Financial background
At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in overseeing Finance department in Shipping industry will be an advantage
Proficiency with Microsoft office especially in Microsoft Excel
Good Interpersonal skills
Meticulous with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
