Job Description:

The incumbent shall be part of the Finance Shared Services (FSS) team responsible for the following:
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Generate payment proposals to effect payments via various modes, including cheques, telegraphic transfers, bank drafts and interbank GIRO.
  • Complete vetting and final checking of invoices/payment request
  • Request for funds from institution
  • Monitor payments made via Direct Debit Authorization (DDA)
  • Complete bank statement posting and AP clearing
  • Review and follow up on open items in bank clearing and AP open items account
  • Follow up with payment requestor for reissuance of expired cheques
  • Prepare Bank Reconciliation statement
  • Prepare monthly Inter-companies and related companies reconciliations
  • Follow up on long outstanding reconciling items
  • Prepare and post inter-companies accrual journals during month end/year end closing
  • Assess Withholding Tax status of invoices from foreign vendors
  • File Withholding Tax return within IRAS timeline
  • Prepare Withholding Tax schedules
  • Handles enquries via phone call and/or email
  • Possess Diploma in Accounting or equivalent
  • At least 2 years relevant hands-on experience in a similar role
  • Experience in SAP system preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications e.g. Excel and Word
  • Meticulous and independant individual
