Job Description:

  • Take full ownership and responsibility of Asia finance operations and accounting functions, which includes legal entities in Singapore and Korea, as well as future markets
  • Handle full sets of accounts, monthly financial reports at entity level and consolidation.
  • Prepare analysis and business review package for Asia operation
  • Ensure proper documentation in place for all business (PO, goods received, invoices etc)
  • Handle annual audit, GST (if any), corporate tax related matters including liaising with auditor, tax agent and secretary on Asia business
  • Support yearly budgeting exercise for Asia operation
  • Manage payroll processing (either outsourced or in-house)
  • Maintain relationship with banker; Opening of bank account and payment and receipt solutions (Faspay, TransferWise, etc) if required
  • Cashflow projection
  • Provide advice to Business Partner on commercial and compliance issue (eg Transfer pricing)
  • Inter-company transaction and loan monitoring, month end interest calculation for loan
  • Access to holding company finance executives to create SO, PO, Goods Receipt, DO, invoicing, payments
  • B2C margin analysis
  • To work closely with holding company, propose improvement to achieve outcome
  • Review balance sheets and P&L from Singapore listco subsidiary
  • To provide support to Singapore listco finance operations
  • Ad-hoc assignment such as support Group global initiatives
  • The position reports to CFO based in the US
  • Degree in Accountancy and CA qualification
  • Extensive relevant experience, with at least 5 years in leadership role, and preferably in public listed company or international accounting firm
  • Experienced in accounting software and strong accounting knowledge of IFRS
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Possess the ability to influence and communicate complex topics to a broad and diverse stakeholder group
  • A strong team leader who is proactive, quality conscious, mission driven and able to work under pressure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent business writing and presentation skills
  • Willing and able to travel on short notice
