Job Description:

Reporting to the Financial Controller (FC), the Financial Reporting Manager will play a pivotal role in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, annual audit and review of internal policies and procedures.
Job Role & Responsibilities
Audit and Compliance Review
  • Assist with the annual audit for Singapore, guiding the junior members to completed the audit within the required timeline
  • Assist with the annual/periodic review of the Finance and Accounting policies and procedures to evaluate the efficiency of controls, policies and procedures
  • Identify and address hidden risks or non-conformity issues and make recommendations for areas of improvements
  • Follow up on the implementation of process improvements and compliance issues identified
Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Involve in the annual budgeting for Singapore and assist in the preparation of financial forecast to support Singapore’s operations
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, yearly and/or special reports and/or financial planning analysis as required
  • Perform financial analysis of the business units assigned, monitor performance, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances
Other Group-related duties
  • Responsible for the proper intercompany reconciliations for the Group
  • Assist in Franchisee related duties and areas which require Finance support
  • Assist in group restructuring activities from time to time
  • Provide direction, guidance and mentoring to the Finance team, including critically evaluating existing work processes and performance with the aim of rationalization and improving efficiency
  • Any ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned from time to time
Qualifications
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Accountancy or ACCA qualifications with 5-8 years of relevant experience and at least 5 years’ experience with a Big 4 audit firm
  • Good knowledge of external audit, internal controls and corporate governance
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel functions and ERP systems, preferably Navision
  • Good understanding and application knowledge of IFRS, FRS and Companies Act and Tax and other regulatory frameworks
  • Mature with good attention to details, able to work independently and meet reporting deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership and managerial skills
  • Good business acumen with ability to think of the big picture and corroborate to action plans
  • Availability on short notices will be preferred
