  • Job Description: Booking Office Patient Service Assistant is responsible to ensure all phone calls are answered within stipulated standards creating a customer focused environment through effective communication. Accurately collect patient information for clinical care.
  • Surgical Appointment Scheduling
    • Handle Booking Office phone lines promptly and in a polite and professional manner.
    • Provide caller with answers to appointment-related enquiries and refer calls to appropriate personnel and department as required.
    • Proficient on the hospital registration and multiple ancillary computer systems. 
    • Schedule appointment accurately with the use of specialised application in accordance with work instructions.
    • Collaborate with healthcare personnel as required to facilitate the smooth delivery of patient care and services.
    • Monitor equipment used for procedures, noting when resources are unavailable, and ensuring that resources are not overbooked.
    • Inform caller of additional information such as after-hour surcharge and deposit required when applicable. 
    • Follow up with clinic to obtain complete appointment details.
  • Bed Management
    • Assign beds safely and appropriately for all transfers, emergency and elective admissions to the Hospital based on priority.
    • Plan and coordinate with other departments in the hospital for bed management for patients.
    • Provide relevant patient information to the admitting ward to facilitate patient care.
    • Ensure hospital beds are utilised efficiently and effectively.
  •  Job Requirement: Preferably Diploma or equivalent. Preferably at least 1 year of experience in a call centre or clinic environment. Strong computer literacy and typing skills.
