Job Purpose

The incumbent is in a privilege position to shape Postgraduate Medical Education in NUHS. He/She is the Programme Director’s key administrator and plays an important role in supporting all administrative functions in relation to the Postgraduate Education Programme of the Department.

The incumbent reports jointly to the Department Programme Director and to the NUHS Graduate Medical Office. As there is matrix reporting structure, candidates are expected to be matured in their approach to balance needs and expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities

To support the Operations and Development of the Postgraduate Programme in the department.

  • Serve as primary educational contact person for the programme
  • Assist Programme Director with continual development of programme and curriculum
  • Assist Programme Director to develop and manage trainee competency portfolios
  • Track duty hours, monitor and document compliance
  • Track all evaluations, monitor and document compliance
  • Maintain documentation of all Training Records
To support and ensure successful ACGME-I Accreditation or any similar accreditation framework
  • Understand and keep abreast of ACGME-I and/or local requirements for institutional, core and programme and/or subspecialty
  • Assist Programme Director to implement and document new initiatives as directed by the ACGME-I or local accreditation authority
  • Complete and/or facilitate annual required surveys
  • Prepare annual Programme Letter of Agreements (PLA) with participating institutions
  • Organize internal review with the Central GME Office
  • Coordinate both site visits on pre-review and the actual site visit
To support events and education-related activities organized by Central GME Office and any other administrative tasks as assigned.

  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience
  • A Degree from a recognized institution
  • Excellent EQ
  • Organised and detail oriented
  • Work well under pressure and independently
  • Strong work ethics
