Ensure an efficient operation of the in-house reservations department and the selling of guest rooms while accommodating guest needs and maximizing revenue. Also ensure dedication to the conversion of all room sales enquiries through excellent customer service and efficient use of the reservations system. In particular this position contributes to the maximization of Revenue with the Brand Standards and policies and procedures of this hotel and Hilton:

To collate reservations from a variety of sources such as faxes, telephone, email and enter them accurately into OnQ PM.

Maintain orderliness of correspondences filing. Photocopy and fax as and when required.
Resolve queries from other departments regarding chargeback authorities and paymasters.
Adhere to hotel selling strategy by ensuring the use of PMS Rate Control.
Able to use knowledge of the hotel, its features, benefits and surroundings in order to be able to effectively advise guests on additional products and services.
To deliver consistently high standards of customer service.
Ensure that a consistently high standard of personal presentation is maintained.
Ensure a high level of product knowledge of the hotel and local area.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.

Increase revenue at point of sale by using suggestive selling and up selling techniques.
Attend regular communication meetings within all areas of Reservations.
Actively develop skills and performance through coaching and training.
Ensure communication between Reservations and all other areas of the hotel is professional, efficient and thorough.
Assist reservations office in any other administrative duties as needed.
Prepare reports as required.

Maintain good housekeeping, cleanliness and maintenance of the area of responsibility.
Ensure all equipment required in the department is maintained to a high level that allows efficient working procedures.
Any other duties assigned by the Reservations Supervisor or Commercial Manager
Assist in hotel operations when required
Candidate should possess at least Primary/Secondary School/”O” Level in any field, with proficiency in spoken and written English language.
No work experience required.
Preferably Entry Level specialized in Hotel Management/Tourism Services or equivalent.
